Lenovo IdeaPad Y, Z and V Series Laptops with Sandy Bridge



Lenovo has announced the IdeaPad Y, Z and V Series laptops with Intel’s new Sandy Bridge CPUs. The Lenovo IdeaPad Y Series laptops laptops sport high-performance processors and are packed with innovative tools and features that make mobile entertainment more realistic, fun and intuitive. The Lenovo IdeaPad Z Series laptops are designed for consumers who desire a PC with features that can keep up with their exciting lifestyle. The Lenovo IdeaPad V Series are designed for both consumers or small office and home office (SOHO).

The three Lenovo IdeaPad Y Series laptops, includes the Y470, Y570 and Y570d. The Lenovo IdeaPad Y470 is a 14-inch, while the Y570 and Y570d are 15.6-inch (1366 x 768 resolution) LED paneled laptops. All models boast up to Intel Core i7 CPUs, nVidia GeForce 555M 1GB graphics option, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 1TB HDDs. All three also boast Blu-ray drives, JBL-designed speakers, plus Mini-PCle, a six-in-one card reader, optional TV-out, HDMI, RJ45, three USB 2.0 ports, a 2 megapixel webcam, and a six-cell battery. The Lenovo IdeaPad Y570d comes with Nividia’s 3D vision capabilities. With the flip of a switch, users can bring entertainment to life by putting on the included 3D glasses to enjoy movies, photos and games.
The new IdeaPad Y Series laptops will be available beginning in May 2011 starting at $899.99.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Z Series laptops, includes the 13.3-inch Z370, 14-inch Z470, and 15.6-inch Z570. They are feature up to Intel Core i7 processor, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory. All three boast Blu-ray drives, 802.11a/g/n WiFi, optional Bluetooth, three USB ports, a 5-in-1 card reader, HDMI and VGA outs, and a webcam. The Z370 have Nividia GeForce 410M graphics options, while the Z470 and Z570 packs a Nividia GeForce 525M 2GB graphics.
There’s no pricing or availability info for the Z Series laptops.
The Lenovo IdeaPad V Series laptops, includes the 13.3-inch V370, 14-inch V470 and 15.6-inch V570. All three models feature up to Core i7 processors, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1TB HDD, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, Blu-ray drive, HD graphics support, HDMI out and stereo speakers. The V470 and V570 have Nividia GeForce 525M graphics options, while the V370 packs a weaker Nividia GeForce 315M GPU.
The new Lenovo V Series laptops will be available beginning in April 2011 starting at $599.99.
